The title, “Prince of Peace,” is the Hebrew Shar Shalom, which means “the one who removes all peace-disturbing factors and secures the peace.” (ODB) In this episode, Pastor Mark considers Christ's self-identification as the Anointed One (Isaiah 61, Luke 4), the expectation of followers to identify with Him as peacemakers (Matthew 5:9), and introduces the Prayer of Peace which will inform the entire VIA series.
